Fresh fish... not!

Looks like hubby didn’t chuck this one back in fast enough!

UWA researchers were scanning some 20-year-old placoderm fossils and discovered... meat.

The Gogonasus fossils have already “changed and revolutionized” our ways of interpreting evolution, & kicked sharks out of the “oldest fish’ queue by having muscle development similar to lampreys.

Part of the surprises included finding that “much of the human body plan is pushed back into the fishes” so the phases of being an amphibian or a reptile seem a little bit less than useful now.
